Our PROGRAMS
At Project New Heights (PNH), it is our mission to enhance the quality of life for underserved, at-risk youth through educational advocacy, support, and dropout prevention services. Founded on the premise that a high school education greatly improves quality of life, reduces recidivism, and has a positive impact on society as a whole, we offer highly targeted, individualized interventions focused on boosting graduation rates and reducing dropout rates.
Educational Advocacy
PNH will advocate on behalf of our youth and engage other stakeholders in their life around their academic experience to ensure that our youth receive full support in their pursuit of a high school education.
Educational Mentoring and Support
PNH will partner with the youth’s home school, involved community agencies, and parent(s)/guardian(s) to support our youth in addressing a variety of challenges potentially impeding academic success, such as juvenile justice system involvement, substance abuse, emotional and behavioral problems, truancy, homelessness, peer relations, and low academic performance.
Dropout Prevention Services
PNH, created to address a specific gap in dropout prevention services in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area, provides services derived from evidence-based dropout prevention strategies (Check & Connect: A Comprehensive Student Engagement Intervention) that are individualized to the needs of each student.
